TV Inserts Production 4 - Extended VT

  • Seeing as Luton has quite a high rate of immigration/migration, how well do you think the council/government are dealing with the amount of people coming to a town like this?

** Other comments/concerns
during the editing process I realised that the all the footage that we recorded has a slight colour issue. All the footage for some reason had a green hue to it that made all the footage look washed out. Thankfully it was easily resolved during the edit by colour correct.

TV Inserts Production 3 - Ruth Music VT

Date of first production -  25/02/18 2-4pm
Name: Ruth Acapella Performance and Twitter Q and A
Estimated time to film - 1-2 hours

Objectives-
- Collect a varied number of camera shots i.e
close up shots 
* medium shots 

- Get shots from two camera to give VT more imagery

Other comments/concerns: 
our main concern was making sure the audio was at its best quality, not just for her speaking but also for her singing as she was doing an acapella version on her song.

TV Inserts Production 2 - Beds SU Xmas Fair VT

** Other comments/concerns

  • With regards to production set up, we were able to arrive on location on time but he had some issue with the SD cards that we were using, which then became a hassle because we had to clear the SD card that we had. We were unsuccessful with doing so with meant we had to buy a new SD card in the middle of our shoot, with took time out of our shooting time.
  • Keeping control of sound because we were in an open environment that had music playing, students walking past the market to get to their next class and we were next to the university canteen; so being mindful of the ambient sound was a concern.

TV Inserts Production 1 - University Life Vox Pop

Date of first production -11/10/18 - 15/10/18 1-2 pm

Name: "University Life Vox Pop "

Estimated film time : 1-2 hours p/day 

Objectives
- Collect a varied number of camera shots i.e
close up shots 
* medium shots 
* wide shots 
* various moving shots 
* panning shots

-get at least 8-10 interviews
 all university students from different year groups and courses 

-Questions:
what were your first thoughts whilst arriving to university?
What is one positive thing about university
What is one negative thing about university?
What do you think of the increase of the tuition fee prices?Any final thoughts?

Canon NX7 camera
Video Tripod

** Other comments/concerns

  • One of the issues we came across was not having enough GV's to complete the Vox pop
  • Lack of willing participants to complete the Vox pop, and many were not giving extended answers, which didn't help in the editing process
